These figures are drawn from data reported by all Regional Internet Registries (RIRs) \u2014 ARIN, APNIC, RIPE, LACNIC and AFRINIC. The statistics focus on transfers of <strong>unused IP addresses<\/strong> and exclude those resulting from mergers and acquisitions. The least activity was observed in January, with only (<strong>480)<\/strong> transfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Regions with the highest number of transfers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As the graph shows, RIPE had the highest number of unused blocks transferred (<strong>5768<\/strong>) followed by ARIN (<strong>1938<\/strong>), APNIC (<strong>1190<\/strong>) and LACNIC (<strong>222<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped <strong>436<\/strong>, followed by the ARIN (<strong>215<\/strong>) and APNIC (<strong>50<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APNIC had the most outbound transfers (transfers to other RIRs) at <strong>(349)<\/strong>, followed by the ARIN (<strong>211<\/strong>) and RIPE (<strong>160<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped class=\"wp-block-heading\">Transfers by IP block size<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In both 2023 and 2024, <strong>\/24<\/strong> blocks were the most transferred IP block size, with a notable increase from 2588 transfers in 2023 to 3184 transfers in 2024. <strong>\/22<\/strong> blocks followed as the second most transferred, showing a slight decline from 2379 in 2023 to 2345 in 2024. This was followed by <strong>7,615<\/strong> transfers in 2023 and <strong>6,540<\/strong> in 2020.
