Every website wants to rank on the first page on Google Search, however only a few get that high. What are your competitors doing right, and you aren’t? Keywords are extremely important to get in the ranking, and a free keyword tool is extremely important to help you search, compare, analyze and use keywords relevant and appropriate to your website.

Using the SEMrush Keyword Magic Tool strategically will help you in the future. At Alpha InfoLab, Inc. we use it for all client websites and our own websites, especially our new IPv4 Broking portal IPv4.deals.
Your goals in mind can be on the lines of:
Check keywords used by competitors running Google Ads
To achieve these two goals, the two main tools you can use in SEMrush, are PPC Keyword Tool and AD Builder Tool.
In this blog post, however, we will stress on the PPC Keyword Tool. In the Competitor Keyword checker tool, SEMrush lists all your competitors in the game or you can choose specific competitors and the tool will list all the keywords used by them. You can see in the image below that a comprehensive list of competitor keywords is given.
Each keyword shows the volume of searches per day, cost per click and competition. But, what will you do with so many keywords? You need to strategically narrow down keywords based on your website and budget.
How to strategically make keyword lists:
Analyze competitor keywords: This is extremely important; you can’t simply take the keywords from your competitor especially if they are not relevant to your site. You need to choose and narrow down keywords that appeal to your target audience and the services and products you want to promote.
Make multiple keyword lists: Creating multiple keyword lists will help you use them in batches or in turns. To see which keywords will work and which will not work.
Have your own ranking: Rank the keywords in each list based on their volume, CPC and competition. You must aim to choose keywords in the following combinations:
High volume – Low CPC (that depends on your budget, I was targeting CPC between $3 and $5) – Low competition ( Highly Desirable)
Medium Volume – Low CPC – Low Competition (Fairly Desirable)
Low Volume – Low CPC – Low Competition (Desirable)
Once you have your different desired list of keywords, put them in to work on your website, use and bold the keywords when you place them in your website content and images (optimized) and don’t forget to add them in Meta Title, Meta Description and Meta Keywords of each page.
It is always good to recheck and reanalyze keywords every 1-2 weeks and remove or replace them if you notice website traffic is dropping.
